FLC has just announced the resolution of the administrative Council to contribute more capital to Bamboo Airways. Accordingly, FLC plans to add another VND 600 billion to the company to increase its chartered capital from VND 700 billion to VND 1,300 billion.
The decision to contribute more capital of FLC to Bamboo Airways was made after the airline was approved to invest in air transport project. On July 10, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung signed a decision approving the policy of investing in Tre Viet air transport project at Phu Cat airport, Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province.

According to the approval decision, this project has a total investment capital of 700 billion VND, of which 100% of capital is invested by the owner. The project will be implemented in the period 2019 - 2023 and is licensed for a period of 50 years from July 9. The size of the airline by 2023 is 10 A320 / A321 or B737 aircraft.

Bamboo Airways' official fanpage has also announced the date of the first scheduled flight took off on 10 October..

Prior to that, FLC and Bamboo Airways also signed two agreements to purchase 24 A321NEOs from Airbus and 20 Boeing B787-9 Dreamliners from Boeing, in addition to hiring aircraft.

With this project, FLC aims to make Bamboo Airways one of the leading airlines in Vietnam. Dang Tat Thang, General Director of Bamboo Airways, said Bamboo Airways is positioned as a "hybrid" airline. This is a hybrid between traditional and low cost airlines, aiming for a service that meets the diverse needs of every passenger segment.
